Your network is growing, new customers come in day after day and you see the support ticket pile starting to get bigger and bigger. The idea of hiring people to help you with customer care pops to mind. “How hard could it be? It’s a WordPress plugin, right? I just need to invite my support agents to be part of the site.”

Well… more or less.

The WP Ultimo admin pages reside on a restricted portion of the WordPress admin panel – the Network Admin. This portion can only be accessed by accounts that are an especial kind of WordPress user: a super admin.

The problem with granting super admin capabilities to other users is that a super admin has all the available WordPress capabilities by default. They can do anything, anywhere in the panel. Even the most destructive of actions, such as deleting a plan, or changing payment gateway api keys, could be performed.

The WP Ultimo: Support Agents add-on fixes this problem by allowing network owners to control the capabilities of users that have access to the network admin. It creates a lesser “super admin” account role that can do only the things you want them to be able to do.
